Greg Lubrani is director of sales for OPENLANE, North America’s largest online auction company for automotive dealers to purchase and sell used vehicles. He is a 22-year automotive industry veteran with a consistent record of producing exceptional results in developing and revamping sales organizations to exceed goals for revenue and profits. Lubrani developed The Wholesale Institute – a traveling workshop that teaches dealers how to use online resources to achieve profit goals for Manheim’s OVE.com.
Previously, Lubrani worked for Credit Acceptance Corporation as its national director of vehicle marketing. There he used his knowledge of online wholesaling to assist the company’s dealer partners in purchasing inventory over the Internet.
Before Credit Acceptance, Lubrani enjoyed a successful career with Enterprise Rent a Car. During his 12-year career with the company, Lubrani held many positions with progressive responsibility and received his initial education on the power of Internet wholesaling when Enterprise moved into the online medium in the late nineties. In his last role with the company, Lubrani was accountable for remarketing 126,000 rental units and 25,000 fleet service units annually in an 11-state territory with 22 field managers and 80 supervisors.
Lubrani began his automotive career after high school as a salesperson at Kay Honda/Subaru in Eatontown, N.J. He continued to work at the dealership while pursuing a marketing degree from Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., and became Kay’s used car manager after graduation.
Today, Lubrani applies his experience in all facets of the retail/wholesale environment to his role as a regular on the automotive industry speaking circuit.
As one of the co-founders of OPENLANE, Andrew is responsible for overall business & dealer development efforts at the company. Previously Mr. Iorgulescu served as director of e-commerce market development for Infoseek, heading up GO Network's first e-commerce initiative geared toward large e-retailers. He also served as director of the Used Car Cyberstore and Dealer Real Time at Autobytel.com Inc., spearheading the redesign and management of the online automotive dealer's pre-owned car programs. In addition to his work at Autobytel, Mr. Iorgulescu has managed several e-commerce business initiatives for GE Capital Auto Financial Services, and worked internationally for CBI Industries Inc. in Madrid and Baker and McKenzie in Buenos Aires.
With 13 years of experience as a dealer principal and eight years as a successful high-technology executive, Dale Pollak is a highly sought-after authority on maximizing dealership profits from used vehicle operations. In addition to his regular contributions to auto industry publications like Digital Dealer, Pollak has authored a book entitled Velocity: From the Front Line to the Bottom Line. It is a guide for used car dealers that compiles Pollak’s more than 20 years of observations, best practices and strategies. Leslie Carle Friedrich founded Friedrich Software Resources in 1998, after a long tenure in international software sales with IMSL, Inc, now Visual Numerics, Inc. She is currently a member of National Association for Women Business Owners, Web Analytics Association, Organization of Women in International Trade, and is a volunteer for the Institute of International Education.
She has been a member of the Houston District Export Council since 2003 (see News/Events), recently reappointed by Secretary of Commerce, Carlos M. Gutierrez. The District Export Councils contribute leadership and international trade expertise to complement the U.S. Commercial Service's export promotion efforts through counseling businesses on the exporting process and conducting trade education and community outreach.
Ms. Friedrich received her BA, majoring in German and French, from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas and her MA in Modern Languages and Journalism from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in Oxford, and was a Non-Service Fellow and an editor of Mississippi Magazine.
